Encode an Experience.

We have come to the end of another unit where we have been building layers of encodings on top of the foundation of bits.

First we learned to develop binary numbers, then ASCII text, then formatted text, and finally color images. High-level encodings are actually quite removed from the underlying bits from which they are made.

What does it mean to encode something?

When we use the term abstraction, what are we referring to?

  2. encoding is the process of putting a sequence of characters into a specialized format for efficient transmission or storage.
abstraction works by establishing a level of complexity on which a person interacts with the system, suppressing the more complex details below the current level.

Abstraction is the process of taking away or removing characteristics from something in order to reduce it to a set of essential characteristics.

  7. What it means to encode something is to change it into something else or to replace it. When we use the term abstraction you are referring to remove something.

  8. To encode something means to convert it in a code form. to abstract it is to remove it

  9. Encoding is the process of converting into symbols of a certain information in order to be communicated, and in order to be understood by the receiver, applying the rules of a predetermined code ,
Coding is a way of abstracting from existing data in their resources to build a greater understanding of the forces involved.
Abstraction is understood as a mental operation, whereby a certain property of the object is isolated conceptually, to reflect. Every day we use abstraction to understand, explain, conceptualize among others.

  10. To encode something is to communicate certain information in code or binary.

When using abstraction we are referring to the data.

  11. To encode something means to transpose information to a certain package. Abstraction means to filter or extract unwanted or irrelevant information.

  12. 1. To encode something means to convert something to a format to be read or decoded.
    2. Using the term abstraction refers to something that has a base or foundation but not everything is included.

And when you use abstraction it is the process of taking away or removing characteristics from something in order to reduce it to a set of essential characteristics.

  14. Encoding is the process of using many symbols and numbers and sometimes using binary to communicate. Encoding is used so the computer understands what it needs to do and how to do it. It helps the computer to convert certain things into what we see. When I think about abstraction I think of abstract art

When Using The Term Abstraction We Are Referring To Removing Something.

  17. Encoding is the process of rearranging characters in a simple and specialized format to save storage.

  18. Encoding is converting something into simpler form following a certain protocol or a previously set up code. For example, to create a colored pixel you'd use hexadecimal or binary to represent it.
Abstraction is rearranging or reducing data to a point where it may not be readable without being decoded.

  19. To encode is to change sequence of characters (letters, numbers, punctuation, and certain symbols) into a specialized format for efficient transmission or storage. Making it harder to read then its original form

  22. It is to like transfer something into a different text, so you can like hide something. or like using binary.it can also mean like to build program you have to encode it.
Abstraction is like breaking something down. like abstracting a file from a folder.

  23. To encode something is to put characters in a format for communication. Abstraction is learning the basics of a particular solution without going deep into it

  24. And Abstraction is to take somethings out of the original text that are not so significant, making it shorter but still readable or recognitizable

  25. To encode is to distort an image or message to the point of obscurity through the use of many protocols such as lossy/lossless regression or translating between binary and hexadecimal.

Abstraction probably refers to the varying protocols having fractions of their abilities used as a whole.

  26. Encode means to change its original form such as messages, information, and file from letters to numbers in hexadecimal or binary numbers.
The term abstraction eliminate certain characteristics such as the text message in code.org
